Film, Fashion & Consumption is an academic, refereed journal for scholars, students, practitioners and designers interested in the connections, convergences and crossovers between the spheres of film and fashion, and the way in which these synergies affect
consumer culture.
The journal aims to provide an arena for the presentation of research and practice-based writing within and between the fields of film, fashion, design, history and art history. As well as covering the relationship between cinema and fashion in the widest sense of the term – for instance, fashions in interior decor and taste, and changing styles of dress in contemporary as well as period film and adaptations, the journal will also cover the crossover of film and visual culture in its entirety, including fashion photography and advertising, which frequently draw on the visual imagery of cinema.
